Shake table outreach
As EERI UCSD Graduate Student Chapter president, I organized shake-table visits, resume workshops, and office tours for the department’s Master’s students – introducing them to the San Diego structural engineering workforce before they’re on the job market. Alongside that, I mentored an undergraduate competition team through numerical modeling, construction, and testing of a 6 ft balsa-wood building model for a miniature shake-table competition.
Professional engagement
President, Earthquake Engineering Research Institute (EERI) UCSD Graduate Student Chapter – 6/2024-6/2025. Ran the chapter’s programming and outreach described above.
Graduate Student Lead, California Space Grant Consortium Summer Program – 6-10/2022. Organized a technical program for 12 undergraduates in microcontrollers and 3D printing, covering aerospace projects: miniature UAVs, solid propellant rockets, and propulsion testing stands.
